However, a study in 2015 found it might help the potency of certain anticancer drugs.
Does green tea aid weight loss?
Sadly, there’s no evidence to support this. The reason people may think this is catechins and caffeine are though to help the body burn calories, but they’d be needed in higher concentrations to make a significant difference.
Additionally, drinking more water in general has been shown to help people lose weight.
Does green tea cut cholesterol?
Yes! In short term studies, it has been shown to cut cholesterol. Cholesterol increases risk of heart attacks, and strokes.
Does green tea delay the onset of Alzheimer’s?
In animal studies, green tea showed to aid resistance of nerve cell death associated with Alzheimer’s disease, but human studies still need to be done.
Does green tea lower blood pressure?
A study showed a modest reduction in blood pressure amongst green tea drinkers.
In conclusion, with all the mysticism dispelled, green tea stands and a nutritious drink that can help lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
