Limitations

  • As some of our authors are young adults, an unavoidable bias is that certain articles will target the younger demographic.
  • Many of our authors are learning how to write articles and how to be critical. This makes us prone to making mistakes, many of which are picked up by the editorial team, but some, unavoidably are not. We do all we can to review our articles to ensure reliability but as a smaller organization with limited resources, cannot guarantee absolute accuracy.
  • Many of the articles we will use are review articles, containing bias from the publishing authors.
  • We cannot base our information solely on high quality evidence (e.g .meta-analysis, randomized control trials) because the topic fields we cover are generally smaller and less well investigated in the scientific literature.
  • As some of our authors are not supported by a university, they are limited by their ability to purchase and view full medical texts.
  • Our website absolutely does not constitute medical advice, but aims to explore medical scientific literature that is largely unapproachable to the general public and translate it into interesting, accurate and more familiar articles to the reader.
